Welcome to the website of the Catholic parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Michael in Workington.  Founded in 1810 this historic parish on the edge of the English Lake District is a thriving community of faith.  Since its foundation the parish was served by the monks of Ampleforth Abbey but has recently come under the pastoral care of secular priests of the Diocese of Lancaster - Monsignor Patrick Mulvany and Father Michael Docherty..
